The exterior of a Mark Mack’s modernist box lay unfinished for a decade. Callas conceived a sweeping, yet simple design that features a pool/spa, deck of built-in dining, and a patio framed by a signature fire feature. This interrogated form to the existing architecture also compliments the site’s habitat. An acre of lush landscape descends from the patio via a stand of steel-edged, sand-blasted block planters, whose geometry is amplified by rows of matching Swan Olive. Beyond them grow established and newly planted Oak, Euphorbia, Cercidium, Pepper, Myrtle, and assorted giant Agave.
