    For a short time Barbara worked with Cliff May, creator of the iconic California Ranch: horseshoe courtyards framed by low-slung structures, with sweeping overhangs and glazed gable roofs.  So; it was an honor and a challenge to recast Southern California’s ubiquitous habitat via a minimalist hand and humanist heart which shaped the modern form of this 21 century Bunk House – sheathed in inventive materiality - to produce a watering hole where any cowboy can park his Jeep and hang his hat after a long day’s ride.
